CVD (Cool Vapor Defrost) Technology

vapor rather than hot gas to harvest ice, making QuietQube
®
ice machines the quietest ever. Standard remote
condenser ice machines use compressor hot gas for ice harvest and require the compressor to be as close to
the ice making evaporator as possible. The noise from the compressor is always concentrated at the ice making
part of the system. CVD ice machines use vapor refrigerant from the receiver tank to harvest the ice. In a
properly configured system, the receiver tank can be a source of vapor refrigerant for a harvest cycle. All CVD
systems use large capacity refrigerant accumulators for maximum compressor protection under any operating
condition.
